Umbra is on a mission to make it possible to display any 3D content in real time on any piece of hardware. Umbra creates an optimized database from your 3D data, whether it is a small game level or a huge architectural model. It automatically processes your data, which means you can give Umbra your geometry as-is without modifying it in any way, or doing any extra work. Umbra’s solutions are the backbone of a wide range of 3D applications that are used by millions of people every day.

Umbra runs on virtually any modern CPU and does not depend on any specific hardware or external software. All computers, mobile devices and gaming consoles are supported. All major engines, such as Unity and Unreal Engine support Umbra. In addition, Umbra has been shipped in a huge number of games and other applications, many of which run completely custom engines.

Inventure joined Umbra in 2015.

With the recent release of DOOM Eternal, we dug up this absolute gem of a journal entry where our resident Cloud-Anarchist @MurkyRamone reminisces how DOOM changed everything and how kids in his days used to rocket jump all the way to school. https://t.co/LrWo0kU22U @idSoftware

@umbra3d @RealityCapture_ Very nice! Runs silky smooth and looks great!

Another Monday, another demo! Our friends at @RealityCapture_ shared us this beautiful 3D scan of the Norwich Castle. 40 million triangles, 57 8K textures, 60 fps on the platform of your choosing with SceneStream.
