Inventure announces today that is has established a strategic partnership with FiBAN, a Finnish non-profit network of private investors. The partnership aims to support entrepreneurs, private investors, and foster the creation of innovative services in the region.
“Through our partnership with Inventure, we are able to provide our private investors with new investment opportunities and links to the experienced team of investors, and hence support the formation of investment syndicates”, explains Jan D. Oker-Blom, Managing Director at FiBAN. “Our entrepreneurs will benefit from the possibility to have direct access to Inventure’s wide and global network”.
“FiBAN has been actively supporting the development of early-stage high-growth companies and inspiring the activity of business angels in Finland. We are excited to join FiBAN’s network, meet new entrepreneurs and find new syndication opportunities for our investments. We want to boost entrepreneurship in the Nordics & Baltics and build globally competitive companies together”, says Sami Lampinen, Managing Partner at Inventure.
For Inventure, the partnership with FiBAN is the next step to enhance the new Seed Program in the Nordics & Baltics, introduced earlier this year. Inventure has already invested in seven seed-stage companies to help them accelerate their growth, and now looking for more startups to join the program.
Inventure and FiBAN will be co-hosting the series of events to contribute to the development of young technology companies, providing them with valuable feedback, network and ultimately taking their business forward. Startups can still apply to pitch at the upcoming Seed Day focused on Materials & Software held on 31st of October 2014.
“The gap between business angels and VC funds need to be filled, and deeper cooperation is of essential importance to secure the many rounds of financing a promising startup going global usually needs”, says Riku Asikainen, Chairman at FiBAN.
